These Terms of Use govern your use of Plumb Tape. By using the app or related pages, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use them.

About Plumb Tape

Place two points in the camera view, read the real-world distance, and save the measurement with a composite photo so the number still makes sense later.

The app is a field utility and documentation aid. It does not replace professional judgment, calibrated equipment, applicable law, manufacturer instructions, or a qualified expert.

Informational estimates only

AR measurements are estimates affected by lighting, surface texture, camera hardware, tracking quality, and point placement. Confirm important dimensions with a physical tape or laser.

Always independently verify results before ordering materials, making a cut, performing work, submitting an estimate or report, or making a safety decision.

Device, sensor, and site limitations

Device cameras, motion sensors, microphones, AR frameworks, location services, storage, and operating-system features can be unavailable, inaccurate, interrupted, or affected by hardware, calibration, mounting, lighting, reflections, magnetic interference, vibration, noise, surface texture, permissions, battery state, and site conditions.

Do not use the app as a substitute for calibrated instruments, destructive verification, structural assessment, land surveying, occupational-safety monitoring, code review, or other professional services where accuracy or licensing matters.

Acceptable use

• Do not use the app for unlawful, unsafe, fraudulent, or deceptive purposes.
• Do not interfere with, abuse, copy, or reverse engineer the app except where law expressly allows it.
• Do not export or share content you do not have the right to use.
• Do not use the app where a licensed professional or official determination is legally required.

Purchases

One-time purchase · no subscription · no ads. Purchases are processed by the applicable app store. Pricing, availability, taxes, refunds, and store-account eligibility are governed by the applicable provider's terms.

Your content

You retain ownership of measurements, notes, photos, business details, and other content you enter. You authorize the limited processing necessary to display, save, export, share, or restore the feature you request.

Intellectual property

Plumb Tape, the Plumb family, the app design, software, branding, and related materials are owned by Made with Best Practice LLC or its licensors. These terms do not transfer ownership of those materials.

Disclaimers

The app is provided “as is” and “as available,” with all faults and without warranties of accuracy, completeness, reliability, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, uninterrupted operation, availability, or error-free performance, to the fullest extent allowed by law.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, Made with Best Practice LLC and its owners, employees, contractors, partners, affiliates, and licensors will not be liable for direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, punitive, or other damages arising from the app. This includes property damage, injury, financial loss, material waste, rework, inaccurate records, project delay, failed inspection, code violation, equipment damage, lost data, or third-party claims.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where applicable consumer law requires otherwise. Any permitted dispute will be brought in a court of competent jurisdiction in Illinois.

Uso aceptable

• No use la aplicación con fines ilegales, inseguros, fraudulentos o engañosos.

• No exporte ni comparta contenido que no tenga derecho a usar.
• No use la aplicación cuando la ley exija un profesional con licencia o una determinación oficial.
